It can be, and the answer varies by state, so we don't tell you it's clean — we tell you the requirement every framework agrees on: tell your client. Commission for a non-legal ancillary product isn't fee-splitting under Model Rule 5.4(a) (that governs LEGAL fees), but your own financial interest in the referral is the kind of personal-interest conflict Rule 1.7(a)(2) requires informed consent for, and the reciprocal-referral rule (7.2(b)(4)) requires the client be informed of any such arrangement. Practically: disclose the arrangement to the client before or when you refer them (the CreativeAssets swipe kit bakes this disclosure into every template), and confirm the specifics with your own state bar or ethics counsel before using this program with a current client — we can't give you that opinion, and it genuinely differs by jurisdiction.
